Target

Full Name
DDX41
Introduction
DDX41 (DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 41) is putative RNA helicase, which characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD). DDX41 plays a role in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly.

Involvement in disease
Myeloproliferative/lymphoproliferative neoplasms, familial (MPLPF):
A familial cancer predisposition syndrome with incomplete penetrance, characterized by increased susceptibility to myeloid neoplasms and rarely to lymphoid malignancies. MPLPF inheritance is autosomal dominant.
