Target

Full Name
ADP Dependent Glucokinase
Introduction
ADPGK (EC 2.7.1.147) catalyzes the ADP-dependent phosphorylation of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate and may play a role in glycolysis, possibly during ischemic conditions.
Entrez Gene ID
UniProt ID
Alternative Names
ADP Dependent Glucokinase; RbBP-35; ADP-GK; ADP-Dependent Glucokinase; ATP-Dependent Glucokinase; 2610017G09Rik; EC 2.7.1.147;
Function
Catalyzes the phosphorylation of D-glucose to D-glucose 6-phosphate using ADP as the phosphate donor. GDP and CDP can replace ADP, but with reduced efficiency (By similarity).
Biological Process
Glucose metabolic process
Glycolytic process through glucose-6-phosphate
Cellular Location
Secreted
